Thank you for your interest on us. We are "Kankyo-shimin"
Founded 1992 in Kyoto, as environmental NGO that membership is open to all individuals who share a desire to serve and act on behalf of the needs and rights of all environmental issues.
At the beginning, it came into action mainly in Kyoto City and Kansai area
(The west area of Honshu island ) and it was inconvenient for the Tokai area(The central area of Honshu) members to join from the distance Then, the key members in Nagoya City established Tokai office as a regional organization in 1999. Kankyo-shimin has its offices in Kyoto City, Otsu City and Nagoya City now.
Kankyo-shimin has received the attestation incorporated nonprofit organization from the Cabinet Office on February 25, 2002.
Kankyo-shimin achieves its goals by -Practicing the surveillance study, roposing the policy and Environmental activities
Kankyo- shimin has been working in developing as an environment NGO that influences society.

The sea is blue and clear and fish swim around the rivers. Mountains and the town are covered with green. Stars blink beautifully in the night sky and wild lives are not exposed to the edge of extinction but held the sacred esteem for their lives.
People do not compete with one another and be able to enjoy working all together without being chased the (fear of) moneymaking
Children get stars in their eyes looking forward to the future, and the wisdom and the experiences of the elderly people grown in age are respected from the society.
People will not kill each other by the reasons such as different colors of skin or religion. Different culture is admitted each other.
There is neither starvation nor war nor discrimination.
We are seeking for such ａ world.
